Dirk Answers All the Questions

It takes a lot to be named with the likes of Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, and Karl Malone.  Tonight proves Dirk Nowitki's worth.  Down by 15 with five minutes left, Dirk put the Dallas Mavericks on his back, and the improbable comeback was complete with a 112 to 105 overtime victory for the Mavs.  Going for double digits for the fourth time in four games this series, Dirk has been the definition of clutch.

Can you name anyone who has Nowitzki's body of work as a seven footer?  He is taking over these playoffs.  He was part of the demise of the world champs.  He helped take down everyone's favorite Cinderella team in the Trail Blazers.  Do you guys remember all the analysts saying Dallas would be out in the first round again?  Even though I was not one of those people I still had my doubts about the Mavericks.  I will never doubt Dirk Nowitzki or his team ever again after tonight.

Dirk Nowitzki is indeed a Hall of Famer.  He is undoubtedly the best foreign player in league history.  Thirteen years of domination and we are all just noticing him now?  Shame on us.  This man cemented his legacy tonight.  Barring a collapse of epic proportion, Dallas will be in its second Finals in the Dirk era.  The best question is has this man ever had a legitimate number two since Steve Nash?  Is it Jason Kidd?  Jason Terry?  Shaun Marion?  Nowitzki is the Mavericks.  If you take him off this team they become the West's version of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In true superstar fashion Dirk took over this game.  He took over this series.  Hell he took over the entire playoffs.  If I were one of the East teams I would not be happy if the Mavs get out of this series as hot as they are.  If he gets a ring this year there is no question,  he is the equivalent of a five tool player.  He is the reason I am on the edge of my seat when I watch this team play.  To overcome a fifteen point deficit on a deafening Oklahoma City court, that my friend is legend.
